Troubleshooting

Common problems and their fixes.

Saving

“Not saved — retrying”: the server did not answer or refused the save. Check the connection; click the status to retry now. A copy is kept in this browser.
“Not saved — changed on the server”: another member saved the project first. Choose which version to keep; the other stays under Restore Earlier Version.
The sign-in screen appears: the session ended (14 days without use, or signed out on another device). Sign in again; unsaved changes are kept in this browser.

✦ AI is turned off: no AI key is available to you. Add one in Account → AI keys, or ask your organization's administrator.
“Monthly AI limit for this key reached”: raise the key's limit, wait for the next month, or add your own key.
“Too many AI requests”: wait the number of seconds shown, then try again.
“The API key was rejected”: the provider refused the key. Create a new key, then add it and remove the old one.
“AI is blocked for this project”: the project carries a restricted marking such as CUI or ITAR. Remove that material from the service.
“The AI response was rejected…”: the reply did not have the expected form; nothing changed. Try again, or choose a stronger model.

A project is missing from the list: you are not a member. Ask an owner to invite you; see Sharing and Roles.
“View only” under the top bar: your role is Viewer. Ask an owner for edit access.

The rail is gone: press ⌘\ or point at the left edge of the window.
Only the page shows: focus mode is on; press Esc.
A setting looks wrong: Preferences → Clean Preferences… resets the interface settings kept in this browser.
