Needs & Requirements
Compliance Matrix
A statement of compliance with a customer specification: each of its requirements with Compliant, Partially Compliant, Non-Compliant, Not Applicable or To Be Determined, the response, the requirements and design items that answer it, verification status and any deviation or waiver. The page shows with the Formal program on (Project Preferences → Program features).
Where to find it
- In the navigation rail: Needs & Requirements → Compliance Matrix.
- Address:
compliance?doc=<id>. Import the customer's requirements into a document first (Import and Export).
Main actions
- Specification: choose the document. It gets the Customer Specification label, so it is offered first next time.
- The cards count each compliance value and the requirements not assessed; click one to filter.
- Set Compliance in place (one undo step); + Response opens the response text.
- Our Requirements and Design lists what the requirement is traced to, derived by, refined by or satisfied by. Verification is the requirement's own RVTM status, or (↳) the least-verified status of ours when it has no test of its own.
- Export ▾: Excel, CSV or Word. In a document, Insert Matrix → Compliance Matrix (offered with the Formal program on) adds the same table, rebuilt from the model.
