Build an Action Diagram
Model a functional flow with sequence, parallel paths, decisions and loops.
- Open Diagrams (bottom of the rail) → + Create Diagram ▾, pick Action Diagram and name the parent action. For an existing Action, use its Open ▾ → Action Diagram.
- Click + Action ▾ → New Action… to add steps in sequence. Each becomes a child (decomposed by) of the parent.
- Add + SYNC for parallel steps, + OR for a decision (set branch probabilities or conditions), + LOOP for repetition and + EXIT to end early.
- Add + I/O to show what passes between actions: drag from the producing action to the receiving one.
- Assign performers in the inspector's relationships (performed by), or drag a resource from the palette.
- Set each action's Duration in the inspector, or select several and use Duration….
- Select an action and click Decompose to model its own sub-flow.
- Use ⚙ → Check Diagram… to find orphans, and Generate Asset Diagram for the physical view.
