Frameworks
UAF
Unified Architecture Framework views: a grid of 15 viewpoints (Sm-Ov, En-Pm, Me-Pm, Rk-Pm, Am, St, Op, Sv, Ps, Rs, Sc, Pj, Sd, Ar, Rq) by 12 aspects (Mv, Tx, Sr, Cn, Pr, St, Sq, If, Pm, Ct, Rm, Tr).
Where to find it
- In the navigation rail: Frameworks → UAF.
Main actions
- Click an entry in the UAF grid, or + Create UAF View in the top bar: viewpoint → aspect → view, then the root class (or, for a matrix, the Y-axis class and relationship), then a new or existing root. Its ▾ has Update Schema with UAF Labels.
- Views are diagrams (Hierarchy, Tree, Asset, BDD, Layer, IBD, Physical I/O, I², Action, Activity, IDEF0, N², State Machine, Sequence, Spider, Class, Radar, Parametric, Timeline, Risk), documents, a matrix, the dictionary (Database), a Gantt chart or a risk burn-down.
- A view page has All Views and Open … in the top bar.
Tips
- A view whose diagram type cannot use the chosen root class shows Misconfigured UAF View with the reason.
