Import a SysML v1 Model

Model → Import and Export converts a SysML 1.x model (XMI from Cameo, MagicDraw, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody or Papyrus) to SysML v2 text and imports it, after a conversion report.

• Drop one .xmi, .uml or .xml file, or a Cameo or MagicDraw .mdzip project, on the Import box. Choose Into this project or Into a new SysML v2 project first.
• Conversion from SysML v1 counts the elements converted, approximated (kept in a changed form) and left out, and says whether the SysML v2 text checks without problems.
• Use Show to list the approximated and left-out elements, with the reason for each. Show the SysML v2 text opens the result; Download Report saves a CSV and Download SysML v2 Text the .sysml file.
• Click Import N Packages or Create Project. The import is one undo step.
• SysML v1 properties without a SysML v2 keyword (such as refine and trace) become metadata from the SysMLv1Library package. Opaque bodies (OCL, English, …) become textual representations.
• Limits: one file of at most 64 MB, 250,000 elements, 512 levels of nesting. Diagrams are not converted.
