Diagrams

Every diagram in the project. A diagram is a view of a root entity and its relationships, so editing it edits the model.

Where to find it

  • In the navigation rail: Diagrams.
  • Each lifecycle group lists its own diagram pages and types on its overview page. Links can carry diagrams?type=<key> and ?q=; a diagram opens at diagrams/<type>/<rootId>.

Main actions

  • + Create Diagram ▾ (top bar): Create Diagram (Default) or Create from Existing Entity. The wizard has All / General / LML / SysML tabs, then a new root (class, number, name, description) or an existing one.
  • Report… (top bar): a Diagrams Report as Word (DOCX) or Web Page (HTML), with the fields you choose.
  • The view bar under the top bar: search, type filter, sort and tiles per page. Saved and derived / Saved diagrams / Derived views filters the list: derived views (Hierarchy, Spider, Action or Asset of any entity with children) are offered before anyone opens them.
  • Tile ⋯: Open, Open Entity View, Edit Entity…, Clone…, Refresh Image, Export PNG/SVG, Delete…. ⌘- or ⇧-click selects tiles for bulk delete.

Tips

  • Delete Diagram keeps the entities; Delete Diagram and Root Entity removes the root too. Both can be undone.
  • A diagram opens fitted to the window but at no less than 70%, so text stays readable; use Fit to see all of it.
