Behavior
Functional Flow Block Diagram (FFBD)
A classic FFBD of an Action's flow: the same flow as its Action Diagram, drawn in FFBD notation.
Where to find it
- Behavior overview page, Diagrams at the bottom of the rail (+ Create Diagram ▾), an entity's Open ▾, or the type selector in the top bar of any diagram of a suitable root.
Main actions
- Function blocks show the function number (for example F4) above the name. Circle AND gates open and close parallel branches; OR gates open and close alternatives.
- Loops have a loop-entry circle (LP or IT) where the return arrow re-enters, an exit gate and optional return-arrow text. A loop that represents a function is framed and labeled with it.
- Toolbar: orientation (Left to right, Top down), start/end style (text or reference blocks), Start and End text, Edit Flow… (opens the flow in Functional Analysis) and Action Diagram.
- ⚙: Rotate start/end labels and Frame loops that represent a function.
Tips
- Edit the flow in Functional Analysis or the Action Diagram; the FFBD redraws from it.
